Quincy, MA. – Work ‘N Gear is excited to partner with WZLX for their 2014 Annual American Red Cross Blood Drive. This year the first 100 donors at each location will receive a commemorative WZLX t-shirt and a coupon for one pound of free Dunkin Donuts Coffee, staying true to their “give a pint get a pound” campaign.
With flu season and the unpredictable New England weather, winter is always a difficult time to collect blood. Work ‘N Gear encourages those wishing to donate to stop into one of the four donation centers around the Greater Boston area on Friday, January 10, 2014. Donation centers include, the Charles Hotel in Cambridge, the Waterfront Hotel in Salem, the Holiday Inn in Taunton and the Holiday Inn in Rockland.
“There are not many opportunities to so directly affect someone’s life in a positive way as through giving blood” said Rob Cuoco, Work ‘N Gear’s Director of Marketing/Creative. “Having seen firsthand the beneficial effects of blood transfusions. I am always grateful to those that donate.”
Lauren Ibey, Visual Merchandise Manager at Work ‘N Gear will be there to donate on Friday. “It’s been a while since I’ve had the time to donate blood, but this year I’m making time. I’ll be going to the Rockland donating center to support all parties involved: Work ‘N Gear, WZLX and the American Red Cross. Donating blood is something everyone should think about doing.”
