Carhartt

A properly fitted garment not only keeps you looking professional, but also keeps you feeling comfortable for your entire work day. See below for advice on taking accurate measurements.

Carhartt Scrubs Unisex Sizes

Unisex scrubs are designed to be worn comfortably by both men and women and are generally cut to fit a bit more loosely. Since the fit accommodates men, many women achieve a better fit by stepping down one size from what they might otherwise wear in a ladies' size.

How to Take Your Measurements for a Great Fit

For best results, follow these guidelines:

  • Take all measurements in inches
  • If your measurements are between sizes, order the larger size
  • For greatest accuracy, have someone else take your measurements (rather than doing it yourself)
  • Your tape measure should be pulled snug, not tight

Chest: Exhale, then measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest; Be sure to hold the tape level and firmly, but not tight

Waist: Keep the tape loose and measure around your natural waistline; For most, the waist will sit at the hipbone, but if you wear your scrub bottoms at a different place on your waist, please adjust accordingly

Length: We suggest Petites for women up to 5'3", Regular length up to 5'6", and Tall length for 5'7" and above.

Inseam: Measure from the top of inner thigh to the top of the heel of the shoe.

Hip: Standing with your feet slightly apart, measure around the fullest part of your body.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I seriously like this vest. It is warm. It fits well. It looks good. It is only a week old, and so is a little stiff. Actually, it is like wearing cast iron, but, like my other Carhartt garments, it is getting better by the day as it breaks in. I have a longish torso, and other down vests that I have owned always felt short on me. Not this vest. It is just long enough to feel like it is staying where it is supposed to be instead of riding up on my waist. The pockets are deep and well placed, also with the quilted lining that keeps them warm. All in all, a great vest at a fair price. I will use it for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best of the best. Another quality product from Carhartt. I’ve owned many of there items over the years. Ranging from insulated pants, bibs, t-shirts and vests. I put the them through the ringer with my line of work and they always out live my expectations. I work in the south lands of Montana building log homes and being outside for half a day battling snow, rain. wind and sun day in and day out. By the time I am done with an item from them it’s usually in shreds and could last longer If I wanted it too. I’m a life long customer and have never had a single issue with them. Long live Carhartt !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now here is something that is going to get a lot of use… Not really going out on a limb with all the 5 star ratings. Out of the box, the vest looks good & fits like a glove It has the durable feel of quality. Bought it to add to the layering of my mid weight Carhart fall jacket. The Arctic lining will be perfect for core warmth without restricting movement. Will be protected from any wear and tear by the 7year old, just broke in jacket. I am 5’10”, 185. No issue of being too short, long or tight. Looking to stretch that sweatshirt season or add warmth without bulk to any jacket. Here is 5 star reason to consider Carhart.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from wash and fit My husband is MR. Carhart...NOT KIDDING! We even bought a new red tshirt for Christmas! He has products in shipping packages for "rainy days". Never checked care instructions on recent vest because we've purchased many over time. WOW what a shock to find tall xl shrinkage, he can't wear it, far too tight. Compared old and newest care label to see the guidelines changed. Very disappointed but too busy to drive to Portland for exchange or hassle with shipping back. Careful to fellow CarHart fans! Gave it low rating because if this but normally would rate at 4

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, Not Great This is a good vest, but for me it has one flaw which keeps me from calling it great. This vest would be greatly benefitted by having a two-way zipper. It would be highly desirable to be able to unzip it a few inches from the bottom when seated. Cotton duck is very stiff, especially when new, and this vest tends to push upward when you are seated. Anyone who has worn an arctic quilt lined Duck Traditional Coat (Carhartt style #C003) will know what a benefit being able to unzip the bottom is under certain conditions, such as being seated. This vest also really needs that capability--but it lacks the two-way zipper of the C003 (and some other Carhartt products). This vest could still be a nice purchase if you plan on wearing it mostly standing on your feet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I grew or it shrunk Being a large man I was excited that this vest came in a 4xl tall. The vest was a bit stiff straight out of the bag but I didn't care and I could work around it. I wore my "armored" vest for 2 weeks and decided it needed a wash and this is where the problems happened. I pulled my fresh washed vest out of the dryer and find out that I grew two sizes. Well either I grew or my vest shrunk. I have never had a Carhartt product shrink that much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleased with purchase! Received it last week but it hasn't been cold enough, up here in Canada, to wear yet! The fit is good, yes a little stiff but understandable, its brand new. I'm sure after some consistent use it will work in nicely. Overall I'm impressed with the quality but as for durability I will have to let you know, after some prolonged use. All in all just like to say thanks and look forward to some future shopping, at Carhartt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only for latte sippers not for hard workers. Not sure what’s happened with the quality over the years. One of these vest used to last a few years until the edges started wearing out. Now the inside liner shreds within a week of wear, and the bottom edge is worn within months. If you want a hard working vest this is no longer it! Will be looking at other brands possibly engle-Bert Strauss, I wish they shipped to North America.
